The Wild Country

The best of Sunday night TV is back with the return of The Wild Country. A celebrated TV show that's been well-liked by TV audiences for many years, it was the longest running weekly prime-time series in television history, as well as being the winner of a number of awards, including seven Emmys.

Taken from their comfortable home in Pennsylvania, James and Kate Tanner, along with their sons Virgil and Andy (starring Ron Howard and his brother Clint) journey to the wilderness of Wyoming in the 1890s. They become farmers and are soon confronted by tornadoes, bears and wolves. Through the hardships their love for each other endures, even when a local rancher sees the newcomers as "squatters" on his land, and will stop at nothing to drive them out. The Wild Country is a marvelous adventure full of true grit and courage that celebrates family togetherness and resolve.
